San Francisco Day 3

Get up and take care of your mind, body, and spirit.  Sweat out every ounce of water in your body (read: hangover cure) at Yoga Tree, and with multiple locations, there’s no excuse for missing class.  Hit the 9:00am class, but no need to be a hero about it, go to the 11:00am Vinyasa class if you’re only a human like the rest of us.  For $20, you’ll get 3 classes.

^Cha Cha Cha with Aunt Mae and my cousin Robin.

You will be ready to drink a gallon of water and eat a cow when you’re done, so shower up and head over to Haight Street at eat at Cha Cha Cha.  It’s an awesome tapa spot, with great paella, and other Cajun food.  Be sure to order their Sangria, as per my 18-year-old cousin’s suggestion! Robyn and Zach, you’re growing up too fast.  After feeling refreshed, walk up and down Haight Street.  This may or may not be a kid friendly street.  Just take it all in..

^100% Vegan shoes.  In case you get hungry..

On Haight Street, I saw a fight over a drug deal that came to blows and both guys getting arrested, watched several people walking down the street naked, and was offered mushrooms by someone who was visibly on them. It’s a “trip” in the literal and figurative sense.

^"He stole my weed."

For a more sober experience, walk over to the nearby Golden Gate Park, which can be likened to Central Park in NY!  You’ll catch some beautiful views, and can even walk all the way to the beach on the far West side.

After heading back to the Mission, I really wanted to get a skateboard.  My inner teenager wanted to rip up some stair sets and rails, so I went over to Mission Skateboards.  When I asked about a cheap setup they told me that whenever they have extra boards lying around the shop they give them away and that they had just given a bunch away that afternoon.  Better luck next time.

I’ll leave dinner plans up to you and Yelp tonight, and perhaps after all of that stimulation you’re looking for something a little more low key.
